Reserve Your Tour as Early as Possible ...
France hosts more visitors each year than any
other country in the world. For this reason it is prudent to reserve your tour
as far in advance as possible to ensure the availability of accommodations
during the period of your stay.
A Few Words about the Basic Design of our Tour Itineraries
...
If you are traveling from anywhere outside of
France, we ask that you plan to arrive at your tour's starting point at least
one day prior to "Day 1" of your tour (as described in the
tour's daily itinerary.) Day 1 of all Circuit
Tour itineraries is reserved for bicycle
pick-up and fitting, a free-style test ride should you desire, sightseeing in
your tour's starting destination, and acclimating yourself to the local time. Day 1 of
all Hub & Spoke Tour itineraries consists of bicycle pick-up and fitting and
completion of your first spoke (day-trip ride).
Your itinerary's remaining days consist of some
combination of required cycling days, optional cycling days and / or rest days.
Scheduling a Circuit Tour ...
The table below provides the dates available for
each Circuit
Tour in 2007 and 2008. In most cases, those taking circuit tours will be required to begin their tour on a
scheduled start date (as shown in the Tour Schedule below) and follow the tour's
published itinerary. Exceptions can be made for parties of four or more.
Scheduling a Hub & Spoke Tour / Blackout Dates ...
Unlike circuit tours, you may schedule your Hub & Spoke Tour
at any time, with the following caveats:

Hub & Spoke Tours may not begin on a Sunday. In
other words, "Day 1" of your tour (as described in the tour's detailed
itinerary) may be any day but Sunday.

Hub & Spoke Tours in Provence (Vineyards
& Van Gogh and the Many Faces of
Provence) may not be scheduled during the Avignon Cultural Festival which
takes place during the month of July.
Before Booking your Flight ...
Though Diverse Directions customers enjoy a large
degree of flexibility in scheduling their tours. we STRONGLY recommend that
flight arrangements NOT be finalized until you have clearly communicated your
intended itinerary with our Tour Director.

To view the daily itinerary of any
tour on the schedule, simply click on the tour's name.

The LATEST ARRIVAL DATE is described as
"DAY 0" in each tour's daily itinerary. For those traveling from North or
South America, you will need to schedule your flight for one day prior to the
LATEST ARRIVAL DATE.

The TOUR START DATE is described as "DAY
1" in each tour's daily itinerary.

Assuming that you are departing immediately after
the conclusion of your bike tour, you should not schedule your return flight
before the EARLIEST DEPARTURE DATE provided.
